CGD UT3 Project

While most of the content of this site should be of general interest to anyone interested in UT3 Modding (even if it is mostly a list of links to external sites!), this section is for students working on UT3 as part of the Computer Games Design Project.

The project is over two semesters - in Semester 1 there is additional emphasis on the design and planning elements, in Semester 2 the emphasis will be more on completing your group project.

Team Structure and Management

In the first week, the class will be divided into teams - the teams will be responsible for managing their own progress, setting milestones in collaboration with the tutor. Teams will have to meet at least once per week for planning and progress monitoring and must record and document these meetings.

Weekly Tutor Meetings

In weekly tutor meetings, the tutor will take on the role of an external producer - with a key interest in ensuring that appropriate milestones for progress are agreed, that progress towards milestones is well evidenced and that actual progress is made every week. As tutor, an additional goal will be to ensure that all members of each team are adequately supporting the team, and that all team members are actively involved in the project.
Each week each team will be graded according to performance over the week. Additionally, each individual member will also be graded. To ensure that grades are fair, each team member is encouraged to maintain a personal development blog which documents their efforts.
