Hi all, never used redmine myself but would you be able to set up a bit on the main front page or in each projects section which would show the latest forum posts, it would make it easier see new posts, especially when we have more forums set up in each project and more projects, rather than having to go through each forum to see if there has been new posts, like whats on the front of the wosgamers.ning site showing recent activity.

I'll have a look into this, would definitely be helpful. I find myself jumping between the forums checking to see if there's any new posts, which could be quite annoying with many projects. You can 'watch' the forums you're interested in though so you get emailed when there's a new post.

Unfortunately no we can't do this. I checked the redmine forums and feature requests, and found this one. Someone else asked for this over a year ago and it hasn't been assigned to anyone yet, so unlikely to be resolved anytime soon, if ever :(

Another way of doing it so you don't have to watch each forum individually is to subscribe to the atom feed from the activity page on each project you wish to follow. I've set this up on thunderbird to watch all news, wiki edits, and forum posts for both the toap and UWS Open projects - was quite simple to do.

well I created an account myself... Im interested in seeing how this compares as a public home for course materials vs alternatives like wordpress or mediawiki.
